Data Cleaning
The Maumee River Watershed, primarily covering northwestern Ohio, is a key source of water to Lake Erie. Excess nutrients such as phosphorus from agricultural activities in the watershed can contribute to Harmful Algal Blooms in the lake. In order to identify the key "hotspots" of phosphorus in the watershed, I cleaned data from USGS and EPA using Excel and mapped them in ArcGIS to improve watershed modeling for management prioritization and water quality predictions.

This work was completed under the direction of Dr. Awoke Teshager and Dr. Don Scavia during my time in the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) at the University of Michigan. I presented the below poster at the UROP Annual Research Symposium in 2017.
