Data Aggregation

Occurrence data on nearly every known species are publicly available in online repositories. I harnessed this mountain of data to map the spread of invasive European frog-bit from its introduction to North America in 1932 to 2021. I manually extracted data from published and unpublished sources, including observations made by professionals and community scientists, systematic research datasets, and digital records of physical specimens housed in natural history collecions.
